Well as Orbitcast reported there is a Rumor circulating around on Insider Radio that O & A might be replacing Adam Carolla. This isn’t a shocker in my opinion I think Adam’s show is a notch above what David Lee Roth’s was. The ratings just aren’t there either.
This would open up the flood gates on the west coast for the boys. I think if it happens it’ll be huge !!!!
Well I think this one was just a matter of time. I mean how long did people think it would be until Opie and Anthony would be heard in XM’s home town of Washinton DC. Well, according to this its not too far off. The thing I find most interesting about it is that the article eludes to O & A picking up the mid day spot @ WJFK. I dont think they’ll have any issues roping in listeners then, but I do find that time slot an intriguing place to put the boys.
I’m filing this one as rumor, but probably not for long.
It’s funny in the society we live in how rumors get blown out of proportion. Today there was one spread here about XM having some layoffs which XM denied. They are having to actually bring more people on. There was some recent turnover as of late with some of the PD positions. This should not shock anyone though, there were several channels that needed some makeovers.
So just to make things clear XM is ramping up and not down !!!
Well it seems there are alot of rumors flying around lately and I thought I would share some of the things I’ve come across one or another:
- Rumor has it that XM has a prototype video player out there.
I’ve seen several images out there that look Photoshopped and of this player. The images are from anonymous sources. I’ve seen them via email and on various websites. Personally, I think this is a far fetched rumor, however I can forsee something like this down the road
- There are more channels soon to be added on top of what we just got.
Again no reliable sources here, but I beleieve this one a little more for the mere fact that XM has a deal with Clear Channel where we are going to be hearing commercials XM is absolutely dedicated to giving us the most commercial free music so I believe we’ll see more channels to offset this.
I’ve also heard rumblings of Special X coming back too.
Again this is mostly speculation and heresay but we can still dream
