XM will be broadcasting Jazz Fest as well as Festival International across 10 stations. This may include Worldspace as well I’m really not sure @ this point since there isnt too much info available. Here’s the announcement of it.
I really can’t figure out why Wall Street hates Worldspace so much. The stock continues to stumble, yet they keep adding subscriptions. They announce today that they are adding some Arabic language channels and the stock tumbles 20%…what the @#$%^&^ ? Check out the damage here. I really feel the company has made some progress, but not quickly enough for Wall Street. I’d love to see things get better for Worldspace, not sure why they aren’t focusing in areas of the world who would adopt the technology more quickly and more densely populated areas such as the UK and the far east, but anyways I hope Worldspace can turn things around.
I just got some email from a Worldspace listener…finally someone I can hit up for the Worldspace experience (thanks WorldspaceXMer). Just want to pass his reminder that the Brit Pop awards will be airing today @ 2:00 PM ET on Worldspace 29 and XM 29 UPOP.
Not much of a UPOPer myself, but I’ll give this listen to…it may suck me in ![]()
Worldspace Satellite Radio news seems to be popping up alot more lately. They have now jumped over 115k users. The press release is here. I’m still waiting to hear from someone who has this service. I find Worldspace kind of intriguing. I expect their numbers to keep climbing. The content doesnt look as deep as XMs, but they seem to be holding their own.
Again I’d love to hear from someone who subscribes to Worldspace
