Well I don’t hear of too many shows or much else on XM 83 - Chrome…well Studio 83 is about to make its apperance this Friday @ 1oPM ET. The theme of the show is classic dance hits & Disco. So join Jenny Costa this Friday @ Studio 83
This is another one of those worst kept secret sort of things. XM is in talks now with CBS now to broadcast the boys in New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Dallas, Cleveland, Pittsburgh and West Palm Beach back on terrestrial radio. My slant on this is as long as it doesnt compromise the integrity of the show then I’m all for it. It’ll be interesting to see how this deal gets set up. The show for terrestrrial would undoubtedly be stripped down. The big thing I wonder is how much. It’ll be interesting to see how it goes.

One thing that I’m just dying to do is visit the mothership (XM HQ in Washington DC) I can only imagine how fascinating it must be. Ryan over @ XMRocks put together an album of experience there. I do see some familiar faces such as Terry Motormouth Young in The 60’s on 6 studio. I wish I lived closer to DC, so I can tour the facilities as well.

I know most of you have probably seen this, but XM had some great news today about their market share of the Satellite Radio market. The press release is here
From the press release:
“XM subscribers represent two out of every three satellite radio customers. Satellite radio is one of the fastest-growing entertainment services ever and is expected to exceed more than nine million total subscribers by the end of this year,” said Hugh Panero, XM’s President and CEO. “XM continues to expand its leadership position while adding subscribers at about one-third the cost of our competitor.”
This is excellent news and just reaffirms XM’s position in the Satellite Radio marketplace.
