Well folks I’ve had it with the various people (bots) spamming my site. I’m looking into fixing the issue and/or getting on some new software that handles the spammers better. You can still make comments I just have to approve them.

This past week I took a short trip this past week to the beach. I’m normally one of those people that doesnt get out much (I have no life what can I say). When I was on my little trip I noticed ALOT of restaurants, shops, and what not had XM on. It was almost like a Twilight Zone thing…scary stuff huh ? I also played a little game to pass the time while driving. The game was to see how many XM Radios I could see mounted on people’s dashboards. I spotted 19 XM Radios on a 5 hour not bad at all for some maniac going 80 MPH

I’ve had requests from a lot of people for some more customized feeds…well I now have them available. The new feeds are broken up by channel and day so I now have over 400 separate schedule rss feeds available.

How do you get these feeds? Well let’s say you want to see whats on The 60’s - XM 6 on Tuesday. You would just enter http://beyondxm.com/rss/xmschedule/channels/006/tuesday.xml.

So in other words the format for these feeds is: http://beyondxm.com/rss/xmschedule/channels/{3 digit channel number}/{dayoftheweek}.xml

I’m working on some OPML feeds for these as well and should have these ready sometime this evening hopefully, if not tonight then tommorrow. Sorry, folks but one of my Yorkshire Terriers has Agility Training today (family first and all that) I promise I’ll try and have this done tonight though.

I’ve been getting some email as of late about people having RSS Owl issues. I haven’t had any issues personally, but here’s a small walk through for those having problems with the tool.

1- Click on Import or go File>Import
2- Dialog box comes up asking for the URL type or copy in http://www.beyondxm.com/rss/xmschedule/xmsched_main.opml
3- You should now see the folders for the Beyondxm feeds show up on the left with all the other feeds
4- Open the arrows poitning down and you can see all the feeds show up
5- Right click on the feed you want to see and select open. The feeds should then appear on the right side

Well as many of you may have noticed I’ve redesigned the site. I kind of had no choice. The design before this very limiting and wouldn’t really facilitate expanding the site the way I really need to.The old design just made it hard for you guys to find stuff and for me to add new items in so they made sense. So in any event here it is. Yes I know this is a drastic change from what the initial design. I hope it helps
