On XM 133 Tuesday evening @ 8 PM ET The Bob Edwards Show will be airing a 2 hour show on the US-Mexican Border. The documentary will cover both political and social issues that surround this important topic that is taken lightly @ times. I don’t believe Bob has aired any documentaries as of yet so this should end up being interesting on many counts.
This coming Friday XM will launch its World Cup 2006 coverage on XM 147. The opening kick off isnt until June, but there will be a new weekly show called World Cup This Week on XM 147 @ 9 AM. XM has also posted a World Cup page which is here. It’ll be interesting to see if there are alot of people listening to these broadcasts simply because here in the US we’re not big soccer fans and the sport has really never taken off. I’ll definitely give listen to the coverage personally, simply because I’ve never listened to soccer on the radio ![]()
After listening to XM Chill since its inception I’ve come to a few conclusions about the programming. I really like the music alot. This station fills a huge void, my only issue with XM Chill is that I find alot of the music not recognizable. This is what I think draws alot people to the Smoke Stack on XM 12 - X Country. You have alot of new music mixed in with a few songs that most people recognize…Tom Petty’s Buried Treasure is good about this too, but Smoke Stack does this to perfection in my opinion. I would love to see XM Chill do this as well.
