This was interesting to listen to today. Lex and Terry only get 112 minutes on XM everyday with commercials taken out. Their show however runs for about 5 hours everyday (300 minutes). So if you pull out commercials it probably runs for 240 minutes let’s say. Wow thats pretty condensed. I would love to hear more of the show everyday. I enjoy these guys . I wish they could swap times with the Monsters of The Morning who are on for 5 hours. I guess its the way their contract is structured. Maybe we’ll see some changes as far as this goes.
Poor Peter he really got a hard time for this…I’m on your side Peter gotta do what you can with that 112 minutes ![]()
This week I havent been listening to The Worst of O & A since they are on vacation and I wanted to venture out a little. I really haven’t listened to Lex and Terry a whole lot until now. These guys have absolutely won me over as a loyal listener. I really really enjoy these guys ALOT. There’s alot about these guys that’s real and down to earth (like O & A in a way). The shows I listened to this week were pretty good. Alot of advice giving and alot of fun honest talk. It’s alot cleaner than O & A because it is a terrestrial show rebroadcast on XM.
I would love to see these 2 chartacters come on over to XM, but I don’t see it happening. In any event if you want to check out Lex and Terry (and I highly recommend it) they are on ExtremeXM - XM 152 from 1-4 PM ET.
Here’s an interesting topic up for debate. Podcasting seems to be all the rage out there, but I have my XM Radio, so why the heck would I want to start Podcasting. Alot of people try to compare the 2 well you really can’t it’s like apples and oranges. One of the things I love about recording on my airware is that there is no syncing with my computer that I have to worry about. That my change when the new XM2GO’s come out. I guess what I do is XMcast. I have a slew of shows that I record on my Airware and Tao. They get recorded everytime they come on.
Anyways, I’m curious how many of you out there are into Podcasts. If so what are you podcasting and why ? Also what do you XMcast ?
I sure did. The stock rose about 3% today. Well let’s see there were really no press releases today that would merit this jump, so you start thinking, why is this ? There were all kinds of rumors circulating today about CBS Radio wanting to buy XM. This development I can’t fathom in any way shape or form. As stock holder and as someone who is addicted to XM this move would not only piss me off beyond belief, but it makes no sense at all for either party. Forunately, there were no merit to these rumors at all.
This is the article that started today’s buzz But these rumors are truly unfounded and based on nothing concrete.
Im sure more rumors and innuendo shall fly from this. But I really think people tried to turn this article into something its not. Not that Im complaining about today’s bump, but I think the article did blow somethings out of portion
There has been alot of speculation on the XM2Go2 units and again I’m still hearing alot of buzz and nothing concrete on this one, but most of the reports I’ve heard are pointing to an end of April release date. I hope this is true. I hope all the bugs and all that have been worked out, with the delay I can only assume that’s what’s been going on. I dont know but most of you, but I am salivating right now and would really love to get one of these.
Anyways, lotsa rumors and nothing definite at the moment. Let’s hope we see these soon.

There have been alot of people wondering what’s been going on with the new XM2GO units. The word I’m hearing is that its looking more like a May/June time frame at the moment, but XM hasn’t announced anything, so all I can say for now is let’s hope we see these new units soon. At the same time if these are being delayed to knock some bugs out I’m all for the delay. I’d rather have the products be tight than buggy.
The Bob Edwards show this Friday is a rerun, but its actually one of my favorites so I thought I’d mention it. Bob’s guest will be Dick Cavett. I found this interview very interesting from a historical perspective. I never really realized what an influential person Dick Cavett really was. I found Dick Cavett to be very visionary and articulate. Give his show a listen on Friday morning at 8AM ET, and reairs at 9AM ET, 10AM ET and 8PM ET or listen to it all day long on XMRO on XM 133 XM Public Radio.

Wow !!!! its definitely a mixed bag of stuff here. I think there’s alot to be excited here and a few things that are leaving me scracthing my head, but then again we don’t know all the details on what these channels will really be like, so we’ll have to see what happens but the bottomline is XM is expanding their lineup which shows growth and is an extremely positive thing no matter how you slice it
As all you regulars know one of my favorite shows on XM is Smoke Stack. For those who don’t one of my favorite shows on XM is Smoke Stack which airs every Saturday night 8 PM - Midnight ET on XM 12 - X Country which is hosted by the group Blackfoot. Smoke Stack is a S0uthern Rock focused This week’s show was especially good since I got a mention on the show and Charlie Hargrett played one of my favorite Allman Brothers songs :). The song was Firing Line from the Hitting The Note album.
In any event, do check out the show on Saturday nights and dont forget to put your requests in on the Blackfoot Website
